Get your heart beating on the splendid whitewater of Big Cedar Creek, and there are other locations here than Mountain End Lake, for example North Jones Lake. This       lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Americas Best Value Inn/Rome is a great place to spend a night or two. There's so much to do here at Mountain End Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Cedar Creek Park is a great location for that. A good close by hotel is Comfort Inn Rome, also Mountain End Lake Dam is worth stopping at since you're here. Horseleg Creek Country Club is a nice golf course close by, and a perfect site for whitewater paddling                  is Johnnies Creek. Mountain End Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; the wettest month of the year is typically March, that's the one that rains the most, and October meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Getting to Dry Creek from Mountain End Lake is painless, and folks from Rome love to come here. Through the summertime months highs here at Mountain End Lake get into the 80's with night lows in the 60's.
