Camping at Mount Olive Lake is great fun, Heritage Mobile Home Community is a great local campground, and there's great hiking along the Horn Creek Hiking Trail. There are some glorious whitewater spots on Savannah River, and folks from Augusta-Richmond County love to come here. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Stevens Creek, and       Mount Olive Lake Dam is lovely. Mount Olive Lake is a wet location that gets a great deal of precipitation; March is when you get the most rain here; the driest month is November. Yeah, come here to Mount Olive Lake for a brilliant time. After a long day outdoors Holiday Inn AUGUSTA WEST I-20 is a great site to spend a night or two, and a scenic lake like Hardys Lake is a great location to take a look at. This lake is so wonderful. Long Branch is a picturesque                  stream that is worth a visit, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Mount Olive Lake; Turkey Creek Hiking Trail is a perfect local trail. Dry warm beds await you at Ramada Inn, and why not camp at Forks Campground since you're here at Mount Olive Lake. At Mount Olive Lake during the summer months highs are in the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 60's.
