    Beautiful Morton Lake has much to offer visitors. You must visit Rogers Cove when you're here at Morton Lake, and in the event that you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Helton Creek. If only every spot had this much outdoors exciting things, what a great planet it would be. Camping at Canal Lake Campground is always a delightful experience. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Morton Lake; Duncan Ridge Trail is a good local  
   trail, and perhaps you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Hidden Lake is just a very short distance away.
This lake is so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Coosa Backcountry Trail, and camping is available at Lake Nottely RV Park. This lake is located in the wonderful Blue Ridge Mountains. At Morton Lake during the warm days of summer highs are in the 80's. Summer overnight lows drop down to the 60's. Through the wintertime highs are
 
               usually in the 40's while Morton Lake nighttime low temperatures through the winter are in the 20's.
You'll beyond doubt wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting stuff in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Looking for something near Morton Lake? Caldwell Lake is in the neighborhood, and Morton Lake Dam has perfect water scenery. That right there is heaps of cool things already but it goes on, the Blue Ridge Mountains has it all. Cooper Creek is a splendid whitewater spot in the neighborhood of Morton Lake, and Bowling Knob is painless to spot from Morton Lake. Man, is there lots of amusing things to do next to Morton Lake. If you need a spot to stay Best Western Milton Inn is a brilliant choice, and close by Gumlog Gap is a brilliant spot to go.
This lake is so wonderful. Anderson Creek is near Morton Lake and is always a bliss to take a look at; golf can be played at Union County Government Butternut Creek Golf Course. Morton Lake gets lots of water; the month with most of the rain is March, and the driest month is October. Morton Lake is right by the Arkaquah Trail; after a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express Blairsville, Georgia is a delightful spot to spend a night or two.
