Summer at Morris Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 60's. Through the winter highs are in the 50's, and overnight lows in the 20's for Morris Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Super 8 Motel - Lavonia       is a good location to get some rest, and Morris Pond is near Harris Shoal which is undeniably worth taking a look at. Chickasaw Point Golf Course the Trails is a magnificent golf course close by, and a good place for whitewater paddling is Snow River. This lake is so wonderful. All the water falling down from the sky makes Morris Pond a wet place; during the month of March you get the most rain around here; the driest of the months is October. You can run the                  rapids of Shoal Creek right next door to Morris Pond, and you'll meet a lot of people from Toccoa here. Be careful coming to Morris Pond, you might not ever wanna return back home again. Tugaloo State Park is a great local campground, and there's some flowing water close by, Crawford Creek is a stream you can explore while you're here.
