This lake is so wonderful. A tremendous site to camp here at Morris Lake is Mount Moriah Campgrounds, and a delightful nearby hotel is Days Inn Thomson. Morris Lake is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, White Oak Campground is a delightful local campground; probably       you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Scruggs Pond is just a very short distance away. Morris Lake sees pretty high levels of precipitation; during January this area sees the most rain while October is regularly the driest month. Enjoy a round of golf at Three Oaks Golf Course not far from Morris Lake, needless to say you could also stop at Verderys Pond since you're here; it's not far at all. But wait, there's more to do in the neighborhood of Morris Lake.                  After a long day outdoors Knights Inn Thomson is a nice place to spend a night or two; lots of people from Augusta-Richmond County come here. Summer brings highs in the 90's to Morris Lake. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 60's.
