There's so much to do here at Moore Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Shady Oaks Campground is a delightful place for that. This lake is so wonderful. Knights Inn - Hahira/Valdosta Area is a tremendous place to get some rest, and not far from Moore Pond you'll stumble on Moore Lake which is a gorgeous lake. There are other spots here than Moore Pond, for example Crevasse Pond, and there's some out of the ordinary       stuff to catch a glimpse of at Moore Lake Dam close to Moore Pond. Moore Pond is a wet place that gets a lot of rain; most of the rain falls throughout July, and October on the other hand is the driest. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining stuff right next door to Moore Pond. Stay the night at Country Lakes Resort; Moore Pond is not far at all from Valdosta. All through the summer, highs regularly are in the 90's at Moore Pond. Summer nighttime                  lows plunge down to the 60's.
