At Moore Lake throughout the summertime months highs are in the 80's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. Highs during the wintertime are commonly in the 50's while the cold winter nights at Moore Lake are in the 30's. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Moore Lake; Twin Bridges Trail is a wonderful local trail, and       needless to say, this is a pleasant region for people who like lakes, Briscoe Lake is a lake in the neighborhood. You imagine that's enough? Just getting warmed up. There's splendid hiking along the Allison Lake Wildlife Trail; after a long day outdoors Days Inn Gray is a nice place to spend a night or two. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by close by Douglas Lake, and there are some great whitewater spots on Little River. This                  lake is so wonderful. Golf can be played at Jones County Lake Jonesco Golf Course; lots of folks from Macon come here. This lake is so wonderful. Moore Lake Dam is worth checking out while you're here. Ocmulgee National Monument is a great local destination here at Moore Lake, and if you came for an overnight stay Lake Juliette Dames Ferry Park is a tremendous place to camp.
