     A cool spot to visit near Miller Lake is John Lane Drift; why not have a look at close by Alex Creek since you're here at Miller Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Ramada Jesup. Lakes are brilliant; Duck Pond is a lake that's in close proximity to Miller Lake. If you like the outdoors, you'll have a thing about Miller Lake. This is a good region for folks who like lakes. Big Lake is a lake close by. There's so much to do here at Miller  
   Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Dallas Bluff Marina is a splendid place for that.
Days Inn Townsend is a tremendous place to get some rest, and you'll meet a lot of folks from Jesup here. A great deal of rain falls at Miller Lake; July is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month is November. Stay the night at Hortense wesleyan Camp; a nice location nearby is Oberry Bar.

Middleton Lake
Middleton Lake is on of the premier fishing spots on the East Coast of the United States. It was owned by my Great Great Grandfather, William Middleton in the early 1800's who left it to my Great Grandfather, Richard Benjamen Middleton (1830-1905) a Civil War Veteran, and a prominant citizen of then McIntosh County, GA. Upon his death he left the lake and the lands around it to my Grandmother, Nora Augusta Middleton Houston, who as a young widow in 1906 sold it to Hilton and Dodge Lumber Company, after which it changed hands several times. I have fond memories of the lake, because in my childhood, it was owned or leased by Judge Mel Price, who maintained the lake for his associates and friends. My father was close to Judge Price and fished with him down there often. I would go to the camp and enjoyed fishing and the camp life. Judge Price retained Mr. Med Gordon to watch the lake for him. Uncle Meddy was a favorite with all of us boys. It was (and still is) a great place!...
