While you're here at Meeks Lake, you could also explore stunning Lake Oconee, and Meeks Lake is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Simmeron Park is a pleasant local campground. Summer at Meeks Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. When       the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 60's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 50's; during the dark hours in the winter at Meeks Lake temperatures descend to the 30's. Meeks Lake is a quite wet place commonly with a lot of rainfall; through March this area sees the most rain while September is regularly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Meeks Lake you can take a hike along the Falling Camp Trail. Lake                  Rossie is a nearby lake that you could have a look at, and if you're here you will meet lots of folks from nearby Athens-Clarke County. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at SpringHill Suites Athens, also Meeks Lake Dam is worth going to since you're here. Take a hike on the Scull Shoals Trail, and if you need a site to stay Sleep Inn & Suites is a great choice. There's just no way somebody can get bored here at Meeks Lake.
