This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Brookshire Creek Trail, and Twin Lakes Park is a great local campground. Near Mcwilliams Lake you hit upon a golf course called Windermere Golf Club 1, and       there are plenty of people from Gainesville here at Mcwilliams Lake. Mcwilliams Lake commonly gets much rainfall; during March this area sees the most rain; the driest month is October. You clearly should love Mcwilliams Lake. Mcwilliams Lake is a pleasant site to visit for more than one day, Sawnee Campground is a pleasant site to camp nearby, and dry warm beds await you at Sun Suites of Cumming. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Amicalola Creek, and Mcwilliams Lake Dam is gorgeous. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Mcwilliams Lake with overnight lows in the 60's.
