     Mckinnon Lake is a good location to visit for more than one day, Towns Bluff Park is a good location to camp nearby. Lakes? Sure, Tanner Lake is close by. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at close by Anderson Lake. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Mckinnon Lake has to offer, you can camp at Stagger Lee Music Park. Little Creek is a fine location to explore, and dry warm beds await you at Days Inn Alma.
A lot
 
   of rain falls at Mckinnon Lake; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and October is the month with the least moisture. For the period of the warmest time of the year, highs commonly are in the 90's at Mckinnon Lake. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 60's. For the duration of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 50's, and all through the dark hours in the winter at Mckinnon Lake temperatures fall to the 30's.  
               That right there is plenty already, but it goes on; Mckinnon Lake has it all. If you're here at Mckinnon Lake and you like golf, you can stop by Blueberry Plantation Country Club, and there's always Mckinnon Lake Dam to pop by next to Mckinnon Lake.
This lake is so wonderful. You'll meet a lot of people from Douglas here, and if you need a place to stay Key West Inn Baxley is a magnificent choice.
