Summertime highs at McMurrin Pond usually tend to be in the 90's, and the night is a bit colder of course, generally in the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 50's while McMurrin Pond overnight low temperatures during the winter are in the 30's. McMurrin Pond gets       a good deal of water; March is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month of the year is October. This lake is so wonderful. Here at McMurrin Pond there are plenty of people from Columbus, and not far from McMurrin Pond you get some brilliant water scenery at Hards Pond Dam. Why not stop at close by McMurrin Branch since you're here at McMurrin Pond; there's whitewater on Chattahoochee River for all you adrenaline kick people. If you came for                  an overnight stay Lake Pines Camp Ground is a delightful location to camp, and playing golf is lots of fun at Oxbow Creek Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by close by Hards Pond, and if you need a site to stay Econo Lodge At Ft. Benning is a splendid choice.
