A delightful place for whitewater paddling in the neighborhood of McManus Ponds is Savannah River; a nice nearby hotel is Best Western Evans Hotel. Summertime highs at McManus Ponds ordinarily tend to be in the 90's while nighttime lows are mostly in the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 50's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at McManus Ponds descend into the       30's. If only every site had this much outdoors amusing stuff, what a great globe it would be. Going for a hike along the Turkey Creek Hiking Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity; Forks Campground is a magnificent local campground. Have a perfect hiking adventure along the Horn Creek Hiking Trail; Heritage Mobile Home Community is a good campground nearby. McManus Ponds gets much water; of all the months in a year March is the one with                  the most rain; November is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. If you're visiting McManus Ponds from Augusta-Richmond County, you won't be the only one. Lakes are nice; Hardys Lake is a lake that's near McManus Ponds, and Stevens Creek is a fine whitewater spot nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from McManus Ponds, you'll stumble on Silver Lake which is a pretty lake, and why not take a little tour to Bettys Branch while you're here.
