McLaughlin Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; during March this area sees the most rain, and the driest of the months is September. If you need a place to stay Best Western Lake Hartwell Inn & Suites is a delightful choice; you'll locate a beautiful lake called Cole Lake Three.       This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to look at everything McLaughlin Lake has to offer, you can camp at Richard B. Russell State Park, and a fine nearby hotel is Jameson Inn Hartwell. At McLaughlin Lake you always meet someone from Anderson. Do take a look at Cole Lake Two near McLaughlin Lake, it's a pretty lake, and McLaughlin Lake Dam is a wonderful spot.
