If you're a golfer then a fine nearby course is Orchard Hills Golf Club; Rock Cabin Lake Dam is an attention-grabbing thing to check out. A good deal of rain falls at McKay Lake; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain while October is regularly the driest month. At McKay Lake through the long summer days highs are in the 80's. All through the dark       hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 50's; nighttime lows in the 20's for McKay Lake. Dry warm beds await you at SUPER 8 MOTEL - NEWNAN, and the great folks of LaGrange like to hang out close by.
