by, Luce Lake is a close by lake. On a good day at McIntosh Dam you can take a hike along the Ocmulgee River Trail; there's whitewater on Towaliga River for all you adrenaline kick people. A lake nearby is Chief McIntosh Lake.
You'll need more than a day to look at everything McIntosh Dam has to offer, you can camp at Indian Springs State Park. Some close by water includes Aboothlacoosta Creek. There's so much to do here at McIntosh Dam that you need to
camp here for a while, High Falls State Park is a delightful place for that. All through the summer highs here at McIntosh Dam get into the 80's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. For the period of the winter highs
are typically in the 50's while McIntosh Dam overnight low temperatures all through the wintertime are in the 30's.
