Any time is a glorious time at McIntosh Dam if you have a thing about the outdoors. Near McIntosh Dam you hit upon a golf course called Hickory Hill Golf Club, and Days Inn Jackson is a great place to get some rest. McIntosh Dam typically gets a great deal of rainfall; the wettest       month of the year is typically March, that's the one that rains the most; the driest month of the year is October. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Hilltop Inn, and not far from McIntosh Dam you acquire some pleasant water scenery at Chief McIntosh Lake Dam. This lake is so wonderful. There is a perfect hiking trail in close proximity to McIntosh Dam called the Kinnard Horse Trail, and McIntosh Dam is not the only location close                  by, Luce Lake is a close by lake. On a good day at McIntosh Dam you can take a hike along the Ocmulgee River Trail; there's whitewater on Towaliga River for all you adrenaline kick people. A lake nearby is Chief McIntosh Lake. You'll need more than a day to look at everything McIntosh Dam has to offer, you can camp at Indian Springs State Park. Some close by water includes Aboothlacoosta Creek. There's so much to do here at McIntosh Dam that you need to camp here for a while, High Falls State Park is a delightful place for that. All through the summer highs here at McIntosh Dam get into the 80's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's.
