All the water falling down from the sky makes McGills Lake a wet site; through July this area sees the most rain, and October is when it's the driest. So much cool stuff to do at McGills Lake, so little time. A great close by hotel is WYNDHAM GARDEN COLUMBUS, and an out of the ordinary thing to take a look at in close proximity to McGills Lake is Adams Dam. This       lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at nearby Adams Lake, and camping is available at Lake Pines Camp Ground. An afternoon playing golf at Woodland Hills Golf Club is always a delight. Lakes? Sure, Spring Head Lake is close at hand. Paddling on Chattahoochee River is so much fun.
