All the water falling down from the sky makes McGarity Lake a wet spot; March is the month that gets the most rain, and September is the month with the least moisture. A great nearby hotel is Country Hearth Inn Monroe, and a brilliant location to camp here at McGarity Lake is Simmeron Park. McGarity Dam is a pretty place next       to McGarity Lake, and camping at Hard Labor Creek State Park is always a brilliant experience. If you adore the outdoors, you'll love McGarity Lake. If you come at the right time of year, Hard Labor Creek offers some fine whitewater, and if you're a golfer then a great nearby course is Woodlake Golf Club. Summertime highs at McGarity Lake frequently tend to be in the 80's, and the overnight is fairly chillier of course, commonly in the 60's. The cold days of the                  winter come with highs in the 50's while McGarity Lake night low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 30's. This lake is so wonderful.
