If you came to camp Allatoona Campground and Beach is a perfect site to do that, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Sope Creek. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting things near McDaniel Lake. If time allows, Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area is a national park worth a visit; if you need a place to stay Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Calhoun, GA is a brilliant       choice. All through the summer months here at McDaniel Lake, high temperatures mostly reach the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's, and night lows at McDaniel Lake through the wintertime ordinarily drop into the 20's. There's so much to do here at McDaniel Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Iron Hill Campground is a wonderful site for that; a picturesque lake like Ellison                  Lake is a brilliant place to check out. McDaniel Lake Dam is a scenic place close to McDaniel Lake, and Ramada Limited is a good spot to get some rest.
