A glorious place for whitewater paddling in the vicinity of McCollums Pond is Snake River, and after a long day outdoors Newnan-Days Inn is a wonderful spot to spend a night or two. During the months of summer at McCollums Pond temperatures are typically in the 80's with night lows in the 60's. Highs through the winter are mostly in the 50's while McCollums       Pond overnight low temperatures throughout the winter are in the 20's. If you came to camp Flat Creek Campground is a pleasant spot to do that, and get your heart pumping on the magnificent whitewater of Line Creek. McCollums Pond regularly gets lots of rain; March is the month that gets the most rain; October is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at South Oaks Manufactured Home is always a splendid experience, and Colley Lake is                  a nice lake nearby.
