If you need a location to stay Milledgeville Days Inn is a fine choice; paddling on Little River       is so much fun. At McClure Lake through the warmest time of the year highs are in the 90's; the night is rather cooler of course, usually in the 60's. Highs through the winter are generally in the 50's, and night lows in the 30's for McClure Lake. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this location. There's always McClure Lake Dam to check out in close proximity to McClure Lake. Near McClure Lake you stumble on the Twin Bridges Trail which is a great hiking trail,                  and Little River Park is a magnificent campground here.
