Masseys Lake is always a pleasure to visit. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing stuff at Masseys Lake. If you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Mulligan's Par-3 Golf Course is around here; camping at Old Federal Campground is always a perfect experience. A delightful location for whitewater paddling in close proximity to Masseys Lake is Apalachee River, and if you came to camp Lawrenceville Campground is a tremendous place

| | to do that. This lake is so wonderful. Why not stop at Masseys Lake Dam since you're here; there are other places here than Masseys Lake, for example Marbury Lake.
At Masseys Lake through the months of summer highs are in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. Motel is a good choice; folks from Gainesville love to come here. Masseys Lake regularly gets a great deal of precipitation; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain, and the driest of the months is August.
Alcovy River is a brilliant whitewater spot close to Masseys Lake, and Comfort Inn Winder is a great place to get some rest.
