     The beauty of Martins Lake attracts many people from all around. The Whitly Gap Trail offers hiking at its best, and Martins Lake Dam is not far at all from Martins Lake. Lots of folks from Gainesville come to Martins Lake, and Martins Lake is right by the Raven Cliff Falls Trail. Martins Lake is a reasonably wet place regularly with much rainfall; March is when you get the most rain here, and October on the other hand is the driest.
Throughout the summertime,
 
   highs frequently are in the 80's at Martins Lake while night lows are usually in the 60's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Martins Lake are in the 20's. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Flat Creek, and from Martins Lake you obtain a tremendous vista of Buckhorn Mountain. This lake is so wonderful. Chattahoochee Golf Club is a good golf course close by; do  
               take a hike on the DeSoto Falls Trail.
Now, you may feel that's loads but there's even more cool stuff to do here at Martins Lake. A fine close by hotel is Best Value Inn-Gainesville, and there are some pleasant whitewater spots on Little River - East Fork. If you need a location to stay Holiday Inn GAINESVILLE-LANIER CENTRE is a great choice, and if you came to camp Lakeside Mobile Home and Travel is a great location to do that. This lake is so wonderful. Martins Lake is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, Antioch Campground is a splendid local campground.
