The beauty of Martin Lake attracts many people from all around. Martin Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; through the month of March you get the most rain around here while September is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Camping is available at Pine Lake RV Campground, and there are some wonderful whitewater spots on Rose Creek. This lake is so wonderful. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Martin Lake. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 50's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Martin Lake sink into the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. After a long
day outdoors Comfort Suites Athens is a tremendous spot to spend a night or two. If you need a location to stay Foundry Park Inn & Spa is a great choice, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Scull Shoals Trail. Not enough
hours in a day to enjoy this site. Hiking along the Falling Camp Trail is glorious fun, and lakes are such serene locations, why not explore Pettit Lake.
