In Georgia there are many beautiful lakes, Lower Elders Lake is one of them. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Apalachee River, and Pine Lake RV Campground is a great local campground. The high level of rain makes Lower Elders Lake a relatively wet place; March is the wettest month with most rain, and October on the other hand is the driest.

This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay Holiday Inn Athens,Ga is a great choice, and if the weather is splendid, you can go for a hike along the Scull Shoals Trail. Hiking along the Mounds Trail is good
fun, and why not camp at Oconee River Campground and Picnic Area since you're here at Lower Elders Lake. At Lower Elders Lake during the months of summer highs are in the 80's. Through the moonlight hours it's typically in the 60's.
All through the winter the highs are mostly in the 50's while Lower Elders Lake night low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 30's.
If you come at the right time of year, Rose Creek offers some splendid whitewater, and going for a hike along the Falling Camp Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood.
