Not far from Lower Elders Lake, you'll come across Upper Elders Lake which is a charming lake, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Scull Shoals Trail. If you come at the right time of year, Rose Creek offers some magnificent whitewater. This lake is so wonderful. Horseshoe Bend is an attention-grabbing thing to spot since you're here at Lower Elders Lake, and do take a hike on the Mounds Trail. Through the summertime months highs here at Lower

| | Elders Lake get into the 80's, and the night is slightly cooler of course, frequently in the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 50's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Lower Elders Lake. The cheerful people of Athens-Clarke County like to hang out close by, and you can have a pleasant hiking adventure along the Falling Camp Trail.
