If you come at the right time of year, Cartecay River offers some great whitewater; do take a hike on the Bear Creek Trail. If you need a spot to stay Best Western Mountain View Inn is a delightful choice, and if you came for an overnight stay Plum Nelly Campground is a glorious place to camp. What a place this is for outdoors folks. While you're here at Logan Lake you can take a hike along       the Tearbritches Trail; why not camp at Nelly Plum Campground while you're here at Logan Lake. All through the warm days of summer, highs usually are in the 80's at Logan Lake. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 60's. All through the winter highs are in the 40's while Logan Lake overnight low temperatures during the winter are in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. A great close by hotel is Ramada Limited Of Blue Ridge, and you can have a good hiking                  adventure along the Mountaintown Creek Trail. Why not take a look at Logan Lake Dam while you're here, and Whitepath Golf Club & is a good golf course close by. Logan Lake usually gets a lot of precipitation; during the month of March you get the most rain around here; the driest month is October.
