There is a nice hiking trail near Lewis Lake called the Whitly Gap Trail; do stop by Twin Lakes, it's a charming lake. But wait, there's more entertaining things to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Near Lewis Lake you find the Raven Cliff Falls Trail which is a magnificent hiking trail, also Twin Lakes East Dam is worth checking out if you're here. This       lake is so wonderful. Chestatee River has a magnificent whitewater paddling spot close by, and it's a brilliant idea to check out Glade Branch. This lake is one of the great places here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. After a long day outdoors Days Inn Cleveland is a great site to spend a night or two; camping at Brookside Camp Ground is always a fine experience. Going for a hike on the Appalachian National Scenic Trail is always a tremendous adventure; Lewis                  Lake is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Jenny's Creek Campground is a nice local campground. Having a fine time in the Blue Ridge Mountains is uncomplicated. Twin Lakes East is a nearby lake that you could explore, and since you're here and you like golf, you can stop by Innsbruck Resort & Golf Club. And that's not all you can do here at Lewis Lake. Dry warm beds await you at Country Inn & Suites By Carlson Helen; paddling on Tesnatee Creek is so much fun. Lewis Lake sees pretty high levels of precipitation; through the month of March you get the most rain around here, and the driest month of the year is October. All through the summertime highs here at Lewis Lake get into the 80's. Summer overnight lows drop down to the 60's.
