This lake is so wonderful. Arrowhead Campground is a great local campground, and a great close by hotel is Comfort Inn Douglasville. Whohoo, so much amusing stuff in one place! Legion Lake is peerless! Why not camp at Sweetwater Creek State Park since you're here at Legion Lake, and Sweetwater       Creek is a magnificent whitewater spot close by. If you get bored of Legion Lake, you could also go to close by Monroe Lake, and why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Greystone Golf Course. Throughout the summer here at Legion Lake, high temperatures mostly reach the 80's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 60's. For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 40's, and nighttime lows                  during the winter for Legion Lake tend to be in the 20's. Looking for some flowing water? Try Crooked Creek, and Barney Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop by. This lake is so wonderful. This is a popular place for people from Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Marietta. Legion Lake commonly gets much rainfall; March is the wettest month with most rain, and October is when it's the driest.
