Lawson Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; most of the rain falls during March; the driest month of the year is October. After a long day outdoors Best Western Cornelia Inn is a nice place to spend a night or two; paddling on Tallulah River is so much fun. Lakes are great; Todd Lake is a lake that's near Lawson Lake,       and a nice place to camp here at Lawson Lake is Hazel Creek RV Park. A magnificent close by hotel is Country Hearth Inn Toccoa, and going for a hike on the Bartram Trail is always a nice adventure. This lake is so wonderful. An afternoon playing golf at Apple Mountain Golf Club is always a pleasure, and Lawson Lake is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Panther Creek Campground is a tremendous local campground. At Lawson Lake throughout the summer                  months highs are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 60's. For the period of the winter highs are typically in the 40's, and night lows during the winter for Lawson Lake tend to be in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Chattooga Trail, and Big Panther Creek has a splendid whitewater paddling spot nearby. Take a side spree to Walker Branch. Just can't get enough of Lawson Lake. Gotta ski!
