Law Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. Law Lake mostly gets a great deal of rain; throughout March this area sees the most rain; the driest month of the year is October. Law Lake Dam has good water scenery and it's in the neighborhood of Law Lake. Whitewater paddling is great on Snake River; there are other sites here than Law Lake, for example Lake Connie. | | a glorious spot to spend a night or two, and Dixon Mill Creek is near Law Lake and is always a joy to visit. This lake is so wonderful. A nice close by hotel is Fairfield Plantation Resort; enjoy a round of golf at Country Club of West Georgia. If you came for an overnight stay John Tanner State Park is a glorious site to camp; lakes are such peaceful locations, why not have a look at Seals Lake. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 50's, and nighttime lows in the 20's for Law Lake.

Whooping Creek
 | ...s creek my entire life and have barely been able to find a spotdeep enough to swim in most years. It is however a great place to hike and camp. I dont know much about the adjacent property owners but in 29 years have never been bothered hiking the section between Clem-Lowell road and Hwy 5 (the section you are referring to).The section on the opposite side of hwy 5 is owned by Inland Paper and posted. There are a few property owners on shilo church road that will allow you passage to the water. I have floated a canoe to the river on this section after months of rain, but in general it is also too shallow. There are some deep holes in this section of the creek that offer great bream and bass fishing. The fishing is best closer to the river and it is not uncommon to catch 7# striped bass swimming up from the river looking for food. A gob of nightcawlers or a small rooster tail work excellent for all species. It is a beautiful stream and will not dissappoint for quiet and solitude, but not worth the hassle for kayaking.
