If you need a location to stay Crestwood Suites - Marietta-Town Center Mall is a delightful choice, and camping at Marietta Campground is always a fine experience. This lake is so wonderful. Laura Lake is not the only spot nearby, Nelson Lake is a nearby lake, and paddling on Sope Creek is so much fun. A       glorious close by hotel is Kennesaw Atlanta Red Roof Inn; camping is available at La Siesta RV Park. And that's not all you can do here at Laura Lake. Get soaked paddling on Rottenwood Creek, and Laura Lake Dam is scenic. If you're going to Laura Lake from Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Marietta, you won't be the only one. All the water falling down from the sky makes Laura Lake a wet place; March is the wettest month with most rain while October is the month with the                  least amount of precipitation.
