If you come at the right time of year, Flat Shoals River offers some great whitewater, and if you've had enough of Lanier Lake, Cofield Lake is close by. Lanier Lake is a wet place that gets a great deal of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is March, and the driest month is October. At Lanier       Lake through the summertime highs are in the 90's. Summer nighttime lows plunge down to the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 50's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Lanier Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Highland Marina Resort is a nice campground nearby, and if you're interested in hydro structures, you can go to Cofield Dam. Whohoo, so much fun stuff in one place! Lanier Lake is peerless! There are plenty of folks from Valley here                  at Lanier Lake, and dry warm beds await you at Days Inn La Grange.
