Whitewater Creek is a stream that you may run into while you're here; after a long day outdoors Travelodge West Point is a fine place to spend a night or two. If you come at the right time of year, Flat Shoals River offers some great whitewater, and if you've had enough of Lanier Lake, Cofield Lake is close by. | | Lake through the summertime highs are in the 90's. Summer nighttime lows plunge down to the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 50's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Lanier Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Highland Marina Resort is a nice campground nearby, and if you're interested in hydro structures, you can go to Cofield Dam. Whohoo, so much fun stuff in one place! Lanier Lake is peerless!
