The Scull Shoals Trail offers hiking at its best, and Wildwood Dam has wonderful water scenery. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Falling Camp Trail, and you'll perhaps meet some folks from Athens-Clarke County here. This lake is so wonderful. Oconee River Campground and Picnic Area is a great local campground. Lakes are pleasant; Welbrook Lake is a lake that's close to Lake Wildwood. Why not camp at Pine Lake RV Campground if you're here at Lake Wildwood; hiking is a popular thing to do around Lake Wildwood; Mounds Trail is a perfect local trail. Whitewater paddling
is perfect on Rose Creek. A pleasant close by hotel is SpringHill Suites Athens, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always visit close by T M Tillman Lake.
