If you are traveling by, why not stop by Lake Somerset. This lake is so wonderful. At Lake Somerset you can see Clapp Hill, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Mulberry Creek. There's so much to do here at Lake Somerset that you need to camp here for a while, Lake Pines Camp Ground is a good location for that, and if you need a place to stay Sleep Inn Columbus is a brilliant choice. This lake is so wonderful. Here at Lake Somerset there are plenty of folks from Columbus, naturally you could also stop by Heards Lake while you're here; it's not far at all. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Lake Somerset has to offer, you can camp at Anthony's Mobile Park; Lindsey Creek Dam is striking.
