You're most likely hooked on lakes, Heards Lake is one of those nearby, and if you're popping by from Columbus, you won't be the only one. For the period of the summertime highs here at Lake Somerset get into the 90's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 50's, and overnight lows through the wintertime for Lake Somerset tend to be in the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. A great site to camp here at Lake Somerset

looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Bull Creek Watershed Lake Number 27 is just a very short distance away. Not far from Lake Somerset you acquire some glorious water scenery at Lindsey Creek Dam; there are some good whitewater spots
on Chattahoochee River. If you're a golfer then a wonderful close by course is Godwin Creek Golf Course, and if you need a place to stay Sleep Inn Columbus is a tremendous choice. Lake Somerset gets a great deal of water; July is the wettest month with most rain, and October on the other hand is the driest.
