Camping at High Falls Campground is always a good experience; whitewater paddling is pleasant on Potato Creek. Lake Maude Dam is worth stopping at if you're here; an afternoon playing golf at Hickory Ridge Golf Club is always a delight. Lake Maude gets a lot of water; most of the rain falls through March while October is generally the driest month. Paddling on Lazer Creek is so much fun, and if you're here, you could       also check out picturesque Smoky Hollow Lake. Summertime brings highs in the 90's to Lake Maude while overnight lows are ordinarily in the 60's. All through the winter highs are mostly in the 50's, and night lows in the 30's for Lake Maude. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this place. If you came to camp Heart of Georgia RV Park is a delightful site to do that, and if you need a place to stay Econo Lodge Thomaston is a delightful choice. Thomaston-Days                  Inn is a magnificent place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful.
