You can run the rapids of Potato Creek close to Lake Maude, and a lake nearby is Bickley Lake. Any time is a great time at Lake       Maude if you go for the outdoors. Why not check out Lake Maude Dam while you're here, and Lazer Creek is a magnificent whitewater spot close by. Lake Maude sees pretty high levels of precipitation; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is October. A wonderful close by hotel is Econo Lodge Thomaston; if you get bored of Lake Maude you could also go to close by Lake Julia. High Falls Campground is a perfect                  campground nearby, and Thomaston-Days Inn is a magnificent site to get some rest. All through the summertime, highs typically are in the 90's at Lake Maude with night lows in the 60's.
