If you feel like a little side tour, try Calhoun Gap; some of the water close by flows, like Pocket Creek. The high level of rain makes Lake Marvin a reasonably wet location; all through the month of March you get the most rain around here, and the driest month       is August. There's so much to do here at Lake Marvin that you need to camp here for a while, Calhoun Koa Kampground is a perfect spot for that, and Lake Marvin is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, Harvest Moon RV Park is a splendid local campground. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Lake Marvin. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's, and through the dark hours in the                  winter at Lake Marvin temperatures drop to the 20's. But wait, there's more to do near Lake Marvin. The Pocket is a glorious spot to stretch your legs a bit, and dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Motel - Calhoun/Near Dalton. This lake is so wonderful. The good people of Calhoun like to hang out nearby, and do take a look at Todd Lake, it's a delightful lake. This lake is so wonderful.
