Georgia has many beautiful lakes and Lake Marie is one of them. Lake Marie ordinarily gets a great deal of rainfall; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain, and the driest of the months is October. A great close by hotel is Comfort Inn Dawsonville, and paddling on Etowah River is so much fun. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Lake Marie. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Best Western Dawson Village Inn is a great location to spend a night or two; you can take a little visit to Lake Marie Dam while you're here at Lake Marie. This lake is so wonderful. There's good hiking along the Brookshire Creek Trail, and you can stay the night at Hidden Valley Resort.

nearby golf course like Country Land Golf Course, and Settingdown Creek has a glorious whitewater paddling spot close by. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Lake Marie while overnight lows are commonly in the
60's. For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 40's, and overnight lows in the 20's for Lake Marie. Lake Marie is not far at all from Gainesville, and Lake Marie is a great place to visit for more than one day, Lumpkin Campground is a great place to camp nearby.
