Etowah River has a wonderful whitewater paddling spot close by, and Lake Marie is right by the Brookshire Creek Trail. This lake is so wonderful. In case you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Settingdown Creek; in all probability you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Kalb Lake is just a very short       distance away. Through the long summer days here at Lake Marie, high temperatures regularly get into the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. For the duration of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's while Lake Marie overnight low temperatures throughout the winter are in the 20's. A golf course close to Lake Marie is Country Land Golf Course, and you're almost certainly addicted to lakes, Anderson Lake Number One is one of those                  close by.
