    Many people like to go to Lake Louise Dam. Dry warm beds await you at Knights Inn Toccoa, and there are some great whitewater spots on Chauga River. Toccoa Rv Park & Campground is a perfect campground nearby; you'll meet a lot of folks from Toccoa here.
This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Brasstown Creek offers some magnificent whitewater; why not take a little visit to Toccoa Creek since you're here. Don't leave Lake Louise
 
   Dam without first going for a hike along the Bartram Trail, and Lake Louise Dam is a scenic spot, beyond doubt worth checking out. Lake Louise Dam is a pretty wet place commonly with a lot of precipitation; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain, and October is the month with the least moisture.
Le Tourneau Lake is a nearby lake that you could pop by, and you can go for a hike on the Chattooga Trail. This lake is so wonderful.
 
               Enjoy a round of golf at Toccoa City Golf Course not far from Lake Louise Dam; Toccoa Days Inn is a good spot to get some rest. What a spot this is for outdoors folks. While you're here at Lake Louise Dam, you could also take a look at charming Lake Louise, and Lake Louise Dam is a pleasant spot to visit for more than one day, Sunset Campground is a pleasant spot to camp nearby.
For the duration of the days of summer, highs mostly are in the 80's at Lake Louise Dam, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. For the period of the wintertime highs are generally in the 50's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Lake Louise Dam fall into the 20's.

...es are constant except in times of heavy rainfall and original life of lake was projected to exceed 100 years. Silt accumulation after 20 years was approximately .5 inche. Normal elevation is apporximately 800'. Feeder streams maintain lake levels even during extended periods of insufficient rainfall and at the same time provide spill into the exiting stream bed.
The lake has been pulled down during periods of heavy construction of highways across the feeder streams to allow silt to return to the streams and pass thru thedrain gates.
Buena Vista Dr crosses the lake in two places; one being the main dam and again on the Coe Branch inlet. Original construction of dams accommodated these crossings.
Over the years sport fishing has been excellent with large mouth Bass, Crappie, Brem, Pike And Catfish, however fishing is limited due to private ownership of property including the lake basin.
The shorelines and surounding hills are populated with native hardwoods and pine, creating scenery which is unsurpassed in the area. Wild turkey, deer, beaver, groundhog,cayote, fox...

Hi!? I am looking for information.? Recently, I have been going thru old black and white photos that belong to my grandmother.? I have several dozen that are dated Easter Sunday, 1945 (April 1st).? I have being attempting determine the location where these pics were taken.? The only thing grandmother can remember is a name:? Panther Creek Park.? She thought it was somewhere around Corniela.? I found this web page while doing a search for it.? I have included some pics.? The most obvious feature in a lot of this photos is a round brick object that people seemed to spend a lot of time lounging around.? I don't know what to actually call it.? Is this the right park??...
