The beauty of Lake Louise attracts many people from all around. At Lake Louise throughout the warm months highs are in the 80's, and the night is slightly chillier of course, usually in the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 50's, and night lows during the winter for Lake Louise tend to be in the 20's. | | on the Bartram Trail is always a wonderful adventure, and get covered with water paddling on Brasstown Creek. This lake is so wonderful. There is a great hiking trail close to Lake Louise called the Chattooga Trail, and do take a look at Le Tourneau Lake, it's a pretty lake. local campground, and if you need a site to stay Toccoa Days Inn is a fine choice. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Chauga River; why not camp at Toccoa Rv Park & Campground since you're here at Lake Louise. Life's too short to enjoy
all the fun things near Lake Louise. Toccoa Creek is close to Lake Louise and is always a diversion to visit, and if you're dropping by from Toccoa, you won't be the only one. Lake Louise Dam is lovely and it's near Lake Louise, and a delightful lake like Lake Louise Dam is a great location to stop by.

Stonecypher Lake
 | ...ands of Palmer Simpson Stonecypher and was constructed in the mid 1950's. The shorelines are constant except in times of heavy rainfall and original life of lake was projected to exceed 100 years. Silt accumulation after 20 years was approximately .5 inche. Normal elevation is apporximately 800'. Feeder streams maintain lake levels even during extended periods of insufficient rainfall and at the same time provide spill into the exiting stream bed. The lake has been pulled down during periods of heavy construction of highways across the feeder streams to allow silt to return to the streams and pass thru thedrain gates. Buena Vista Dr crosses the lake in two places; one being the main dam and again on the Coe Branch inlet. Original construction of dams accommodated these crossings. Over the years sport fishing has been excellent with large mouth Bass, Crappie, Brem, Pike And Catfish, however fishing is limited due to private ownership of property including the lake basin.  | 11 miles away 1 PHOTO Hi!? I am looking for information.? Recently, I have been going thru old black and white photos that belong to my grandmother.? I have several dozen that are dated Easter Sunday, 1945 (April 1st).? I have being attempting determine the location where these pics were taken.? The only thing grandmother can remember is a name:? Panther Creek Park.? She thought it was somewhere around Corniela.? I found this web page while doing a search for it.? I have included some pics.? The most obvious feature in a lot of this photos is a round brick object that people seemed to spend a lot of time lounging around.? I don't know what to actually call it.? Is this the right park??... |
