Going for a hike on the Black Mountain Trail is always a great adventure, and a glorious site to camp here at Lake Laurel is Under the Hemlock. You can take a little spree to Amicalola Creek Watershed Dam Number Two since you're here at Lake Laurel, and why not camp at Amicalola Falls State Park and Lodge       if you're here at Lake Laurel. Lake Laurel gets a good deal of water; the month with most of the rain is March while October is commonly the driest month. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Dawson Village Inn, and do put some time aside to spend at Amicalola Falls while you're here at Lake Laurel. This lake is so wonderful.
