This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Lake Jonesco, you could also stop by stunning Cheatham Lake, and an afternoon playing golf at Jones County Lake Jonesco Golf Course is always a delight. On a nice day at Lake Jonesco you can take a hike along the Twin       Bridges Trail, and the friendly folks of Macon like to hang out close by. During the summer months here at Lake Jonesco, high temperatures generally get into the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. Through the wintertime highs are mostly in the 50's while Lake Jonesco nighttime low temperatures through the winter are in the 30's. Lake Jonesco is a wet place that gets lots of precipitation; March is the month that gets the most rain while October                  is typically the driest month. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Little River; if you need a location to stay Days Inn Gray is a great choice. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Lake Jonesco has to offer, you can camp at Little River Park, and Ocmulgee National Monument is a magnificent site close by. This place, Lake Jonesco, it definitely has so much outdoors cool stuff. The Allison Lake Wildlife Trail is a tremendous hiking trail close to Lake Jonesco, and Days Inn Macon East is a good site to get some rest.
