Lake Jan sees pretty high levels of rainfall; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain while September is the month with the least amount of precipitation. There are other places here than Lake Jan, for example City of East Point Reservoir; if you need a location to stay Deluxe Inn is a good choice. This lake is so wonderful. Chattahoochee River is a perfect whitewater       spot near Lake Jan, and Lake Jan is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Camp Truitt-fulton is a fine local campground. A great location to camp here at Lake Jan is Arrowhead Campground, and this is a popular place for people from Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Marietta. During the summertime, highs generally are in the 80's at Lake Jan, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 40's with winter lows                  in the 20's overnight here at Lake Jan. It's a perfect idea to check out North Fork Camp Creek, it's in the neighborhood of Lake Jan; a magnificent place for whitewater paddling is Sweetwater Creek. Whohoo, so many fun things in one place! Lake Jan is unbeatable! If you haven’t been to Overmountain Victory National Historic Trail, you have to schedule some time for it if you're here, and playing golf is lots of fun at Wolf Creek Golf Course. A good close by hotel is Courtyard Atlanta Airport West, and good water scenery is available at Upper Cowart Lake Dam close to Lake Jan.
