Lake Heath is a nice lake to visit. But wait, there's more to do in the neighborhood of Lake Heath. Enjoy a round of golf at Godwin Creek Golf Course not far from Lake Heath, and if you're here you will meet lots of people from close by Columbus. Throughout the months of summer at Lake Heath highs are commonly in the 90's. Summer overnight lows descend down to the 60's. This lake is so wonderful. You can run the rapids of Chattahoochee River near Lake Heath, and after a long day outdoors SpringHill Suites Columbus is a perfect place to spend a night or two. There are other places here than Lake Heath, for example Flat Rock Lake; there's always Lindsey Creek Dam to stop by in the neighborhood of Lake Heath. | |

Getting to Cooper Branch from Lake Heath is trouble-free, and a wonderful place for whitewater paddling is Mulberry Creek.
This lake is so wonderful. Lake Heath sees pretty high levels of rain; most of the rain falls through July,
and October is the month with the least moisture. Not far from Lake Heath, you'll discover Anglin Lake which is a beautiful lake, and Lake Pines Camp Ground is a delightful local campground.
