     Don't forget to take a splendid little visit to Garrett Creek, and if you get bored of Lake Frank you could also have a look at nearby Wessinger Lake. Lots of rain falls at Lake Frank; all through March this area sees the most rain, and October is when it's the driest. Throughout the summertime here at Lake Frank, high temperatures usually get into the 80's. Summer night lows sink down to the 60's. For the period of the winter highs are regularly in the 50's  
   while the cold winter nights at Lake Frank are in the 20's. If you want a great time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Lake Frank. Enjoy a round of golf at Bowdon Golf Course not far from Lake Frank, and a glorious close by hotel is Comfort Inn Tallapoosa.
This lake is so wonderful. The scenery at Lake Frank Dam near Lake Frank is beautiful, and Lake Frank is a delightful place to visit for more than one day, John Tanner State Park is a delightful
 
               place to camp nearby. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Lake Frank has to offer, you can camp at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Camp-Resort; Lake Frank is not the only place close by, Lake Clyde is a close by lake. There are some great whitewater spots on Whooping Creek, and after a long day outdoors Hampton Inn is a great site to spend a night or two.

...in this creek as it is only ankle deep 90% of the way. I have lived on this creek my entire life and have barely been able to find a spotdeep enough to swim in most years. It is however a great place to hike and camp. I dont know much about the adjacent property owners but in 29 years have never been bothered hiking the section between Clem-Lowell road and Hwy 5 (the section you are referring to).The section on the opposite side of hwy 5 is owned by Inland Paper and posted. There are a few property owners on shilo church road that will allow you passage to the water. I have floated a canoe to the river on this section after months of rain, but in general it is also too shallow. There are some deep holes in this section of the creek that offer great bream and bass fishing. The fishing is best closer to the river and it is not uncommon to catch 7# striped bass swimming up from the river looking for food. A gob of nightcawlers or a small rooster tail work excellent for all species. It is a beautiful stream and will not dissappoint for quiet and solitude, but not worth the hassle for k...
