Lake Foster is always a pleasure to visit. Do go to Lake Foster Dam while you're here at Lake Foster; if you came for an overnight stay Atlanta South RV Resort is a nice place to camp. For the period of the months of summer here at Lake Foster, high temperatures ordinarily get into the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 50's with temperatures at Lake Foster dipping down into

| | the 30's during winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. This location is unbeatable, just look at all the enjoyable stuff to do next to Lake Foster. A great nearby hotel is Fairfield Inn and Suites Atlanta McDonough, and camping is available at Mc Dondugh Koa Kampground. This lake is so wonderful. It's a tremendous idea to take a look at Crittle Creek, it's in the neighborhood of Lake Foster, and Microtel Inn and Suites Atlanta Stockbridge Eagles Landing | |

is a splendid location to get some rest. A lake close by is Dailey Lake, and if you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on South River. A journey to Overmountain Victory National Historic Trail
is recommended, and next to Lake Foster you stumble on a golf course called Cotton Fields Golf Club. A lot of rain falls at Lake Foster; March is the month that gets the most rain; the driest month is September. Yellow River has a
great whitewater paddling spot nearby, and if you get bored of Lake Foster you could also go to nearby W C Davis Lake.

Beyond the park is unknown territory....Yellow river at Poterdale can get pretty tough after a good rain. Bring your A game!...water from 124 to porterdale is about 3 feet average in the summertime. lots of fun. easy river. clean too. lots of fallen trees in the water, great wildlife, snakes, turtles and fish. the dam in porterdale is easily passed adn the rapids following are verry shallow. email at coadydraven@yahoo.com with questions.... |
