Do stop by Lake Eleanor while you're in this part of Georgia. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Lake Eleanor has to offer, you can camp at Arrowhead Campground, and if you're a golfer then a great close by course is Wolf Creek Golf Course. During the warm days of summer at Lake Eleanor highs are mostly in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. a little trip to Groover Lake Dam since you're here at Lake Eleanor. Lake Eleanor is a wet place that gets a good deal of rain; March is when you get the most rain here while October is mostly the driest month.
This lake is so
wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Sweetwater Creek is so much fun; if you need a spot to stay Sleep Inn Fairburn is a magnificent choice. Annewakee River has a perfect whitewater paddling spot close by; needless to say, this is a good vicinity for folks who like lakes, Groover Lake is a lake close at hand.
