After a long day outdoors Hampton Inn is a delightful place to spend a night or two, and getting to Garrett Creek from Lake Clyde is uncomplicated. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are good; Wessinger Lake is a lake that's close to Lake Clyde; if you came to camp John Tanner State Park is a fine site to do that. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Whooping Creek, and why not visit Lake Clyde Dam while you're here.

Lake Clyde is a rather wet place commonly with a good deal of rain; the wettest month of the year is commonly March, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month is October. You're possibly keen on lakes, Lake Frank is one of those nearby, and camping at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Camp-Resort is always a brilliant experience. For the period of the months of summer highs here at Lake Clyde reach the 80's, and the nighttime is slightly colder of course,
ordinarily in the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 50's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Lake Clyde.
This spot is so good, just check out all the entertaining things to do near Lake Clyde. A brilliant close by hotel is Comfort Inn Tallapoosa, and if you're a golfer then a brilliant nearby course is Bowdon Golf Course.

Whooping Creek

...ay. I have lived on this creek my entire life and have barely been able to find a spotdeep enough to swim in most years. It is however a great place to hike and camp. I dont know much about the adjacent property owners but in 29 years have never been bothered hiking the section between Clem-Lowell road and Hwy 5 (the section you are referring to).The section on the opposite side of hwy 5 is owned by Inland Paper and posted. There are a few property owners on shilo church road that will allow you passage to the water. I have floated a canoe to the river on this section after months of rain, but in general it is also too shallow. There are some deep holes in this section of the creek that offer great bream and bass fishing. The fishing is best closer to the river and it is not uncommon to catch 7# striped bass swimming up from the river looking for food. A gob of nightcawlers or a small rooster tail work excellent for all species. It is a beautiful stream and will not dissappoint for quiet and solitude, but not worth the hassle for kayaking. Wait till summer and bring an innertube an...
