If you like lakes and you're in this part of Georgia you can check out Lake Arthur. A fine place to camp here at Lake Arthur is Gold 'n Gem Grubbin' Campground. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by nearby Black Lake, and a golf course nearby is Nicklaus Golf Club at Birch River. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Lake Arthur you get some good water scenery at Lake Arthur Dam; good hiking is available

Be careful coming to the Blue Ridge Mountains, you might not ever want to return back home again. Chateen Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth stopping at; get dripping wet paddling on Tesnatee Creek. along the Raven Cliff Falls Trail. Lakes? Sure, Camp Coleman Lake is around here. This lake is one of the great places here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Holiday Inn Express Dahlonega, Georgia is a magnificent place to get some rest,
and whitewater paddling is perfect on Chestatee River.
For the period of the warm days of summer at Lake Arthur temperatures are frequently in the 80's with night lows in the 60's. For the duration of the wintertime the highs
are generally in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Lake Arthur. But wait, there's more to do in close proximity to Lake Arthur. During your tour to Lake Arthur you'll meet some people from Gainesville for sure, and camping is available at Paradise Valley Campground.
