This lake is one of the great places here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. There's whitewater on Chestatee River for all you adrenaline junkies, and naturally, this is a delightful vicinity for people who like lakes, Black Lake is a lake in close proximity. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Gold 'n Gem Grubbin' Campground; Lake Arthur Dam is not far at all from Lake Arthur. For the period of the long summer       days, highs commonly are in the 80's at Lake Arthur. Summer night lows drop down to the 60's. Highs throughout the winter are generally in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Lake Arthur. Nearby lakes? Sure, Smith Lake is close to Lake Arthur. Any time is a delightful time at Lake Arthur if you go for the outdoors. A great close by hotel is Cleveland Days Inn; going for a hike along the Whitly Gap Trail will let you absorb the natural                  beauty of this vicinity. If the weather is great here at Lake Arthur, you can go for a hike along the DeSoto Falls Trail. There's so much to do here at Lake Arthur that you need to camp here for a while, Paradise Valley Campground is a glorious place for that. Lake Arthur gets a great deal of water; most of the rain falls during March while October is commonly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. You can run the rapids of Tesnatee Creek near Lake Arthur, and after a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express Dahlonega, Georgia is a great spot to spend a night or two.
