It's always fun to stop by Lake Alice. A lake close by is Mashburn Mill Lake, and dry warm beds await you at Sun Suites of Cumming. There's whitewater on Settingdown Creek for all you adrenaline rush seekers; if you haven’t been to Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area, you must schedule some time for it while you're here. Windermere Golf Club 1 is a great golf course close by; camping at Lake Alice is great fun, Lake Lanier Island Campground is a great local campground. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Twin Lakes Park is a glorious place to camp, and Sun Suites Of Cumming is a brilliant place
to get some rest. Lake Alice is a wet site that gets lots of rain; the month with most of the rain is March, and the driest month of the year is October. You can run the rapids of Amicalola Creek close to Lake Alice, and Lake Alice is a site with many visitors from Gainesville.
