Kraft Lake is a lake worth visiting. All the water falling down from the sky makes Kraft Lake a wet place; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain while October is typically the driest month. If the weather is nice here at Kraft Lake, you can go for a hike along the Town Creek Bike Trail, and not far from Kraft Lake you get some splendid water scenery at Kraft Lake Dam. | | everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Little River, and playing golf is lots of fun at Port Armor Country Club. This lake is so wonderful. Some nearby water includes Lick Creek, and US Forestry Department is a glorious campground nearby. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to close by Reeses Lake, and on a magnificent day you can take a hike along the Twin Bridges Trail. Lakes? a place to stay The Lodge On Lake Oconee is a tremendous choice. This lake is so wonderful. There is a pleasant hiking trail near Kraft Lake called the Scull Shoals Trail; if you came for an overnight stay Lake Oconee Center is a
pleasant place to camp. At Kraft Lake during the long summer days highs are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 50's; night lows during the winter for Kraft Lake tend to
be in the 30's. The cheerful folks of Milledgeville like to hang out close by, and dry warm beds await you at Cuscowilla Golf Resort on Lake Oconee.

Little River Park
 | 13 miles away Little River Park has been totally renovated. The entire infrastructure of the park has been gutted out and replaced with new. We now have 130 FULL HOOK UP sites that provide 20/30/50 AMP service on every site. All sites have cable TV hook-ups also. A laundry facility has been completed with 3 washers/3dryers. A brand new 24 X 30 picnic pavillion was just completed last week. We have 5 docks that provide wet boat storage for our campers. WI FI is coming soon along with a fish cleaning station. Our daily rates are $35 for waterfront and $30 for an interior site. Weekly and long term camping is also available. We have 3 boat ramps, and marine fueling dock. Twin Bridges Trail
 | 15 miles away The Twin Bridges Trail is a bit strenuous and half of it is along the lake. It ends near a hunting camp where trash is dumped by campers. I really wish the trail were longer. USFS needs to consider walk-in camping with a parking area to require campers to walk 1/4 mile to the sites. The gate needs to be locked to the lakeside lots except for hunting season.... |
